Our Moment Cafe is always looking for talented people.

We depend on our volunteers.  

 

Join us as a volunteer and make a difference in our community by helping to create a welcoming and engaging environment for all participants. All volunteers are required to attend a 2 hour training session which includes the history of the cafe, education on dementia, and an overview  of volunteer duties and responsibilities.​

Volunteer Traits

We are looking for compassionate, empathetic, and reliable volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. If you are a good communicator, an excellent listener, and someone who takes initiative, we would love for you to join our team. As a volunteer, you'll work alongside others in a supportive and collaborative environment, helping to create meaningful connections and experiences. We are seeking individuals who can commit to volunteering one or both of the following times: the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 1-3 pm or the 4th Thursday of the month from 1-3 pm. If you are a team player with a heart for service, we encourage you to get involved and make a positive impact today!

 

 Volunteer Tasks

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the following tasks:

​

  • Interact with participating couples to ensure they feel comfortable and valued

  • Assist with preparing and serving refreshments to keep everyone energized and happy​

  • Set up and arrange theme decorations to create a festive atmosphere​

  • Help with cleanup to ensure everything is tidied up after the event​

  • Engage with entertainers and support activities such as dancing, singing, and other entertainment​

  • Assist with craft activities and other interactive fun to enhance the event experience
